A Little Bit of Child's Love
I woke up this morning completely grumpy and mad for absolutely no apparent reason. As I was walking to work, a child came up to me and started speaking pretty quickly, “Hi-my-name-is-Alex-and-I’m-six. Whats-wrong-are-you-okay?” he asks me.
Hmm well theres a war going on that’s killing thousands of soldiers, people around the globe are starving, poverty…
“Yeah, I’m fine sweety, just a little tired.” I say – why ruin an innocent childs day too?
“Maybe-you-should-go-to-bed-at-nine-a-clock-that’s-when-my-mom-used-to-send-me-to-bed.” he says.
Used to?
It’s then when I realize he’s completely alone. “Sweetie, where are your parents?” I ask him.
Maybe he got separated from his parents? “I-never-met-my-daddy-but-my-mommy-had-to-leave-me-alone-on-the-playground-yesterday-and-she-didn’t-come-back.”
“Aren’t you hungry? O-Or thirsty?” I ask, but of course he is…
“Yes-but-nobody-took-the-time-to-talk-to-me-but-you. So-do-you-have-anything-to-eat-or-drink? Oo-can-we-go-to-Chuckie-Cheese?”
