Is it love?
Hands together and wide eyes loving was how we started the day. After waking before the sun, we climbed out of the hot tent and hiked our way to the highest spot near our campsite. We found the hill closest to Heaven, laid out a blanket, and got comfortable in each other’s arms. He told me he had a secret to tell me and asked me to close my eyes. I still remember everything he said. “The first time we were ever alone together, I closed my eyes just like you are now, and I told myself, if this was real, you would still be there when I opened them. When I opened them you were smiling at the movie we were watching and when I laughed at you, you threw a goldfish at my face. I knew then and there that I would never find another woman like you.” Then he kissed me, passionately and perfectly. When we both opened our eyes, we looked at each other in a way we never had before. In front of us, God had painted our feelings on the sky with his vibrant pallet. Only one thought was in my mind. “I love this man.”
