Consequence

The man appeared from behind the corner, a large black shadow, overpowering the young boy who stood before him. The young boy looked up reluctantly at the figure before him. The large man was only too familiar.
“Hello, young Thguil, what a coincidence to run into you, for I was just on my way to find you. Your mother said you were not home, which you indeed are not. Where have you been, boy?â€?
Thguil shuttered under the cold eyes of Mr. Klaim’s gaze. He looked down to the ground and muttered that he had been away in the woods for the day.
“And what business do you have there, boy?â€? the man took a step closer to Thguil, who cowered slightly and took another step back.
The man’s voice rose, “Stealing again, perhaps?â€?
Thguil responded firmly to this accusation, “No, I am not stealing any longer.â€?
“Hm, so it would seem,â€? said the man, coldly.
He grabbed Thguil by the chin and forced him to face him, “You still have not repaid me, you know. I demand payment for your foolish actions!â€?
