Into Battle
Suddenly Marcus stood amidst a vast battlefield. There were warriors in formation as far as the eye could see. The sight of them told a story of death and sorrow. Mangled corpse soldiers stood unwillingly at the ready atop a constantly changing battlefield.
Marcus realized that the battle was setup for him. “All this, just for me?” He thought in wonder and amazement. The battle was a test. “Am I worthy to wield all this power, to have gained this knowledge?”
He glanced at the great crowd again, but couldn’t count the number of opponents that he would have to face. As far as he could see was the number he could count, but stopped at sixty seven billion or so. He knew “This is everyone that had ever lived.”
Battle ensued, and the horde rushed toward him. A fire sword of unimaginable size appeared before his mouth. As he spoke the command, the sword swung up and to the right, and then across the entire horizon, consuming all of his foes at once.
Marcus was confident, but the test would soon begin.
