Ficlets

Opening Time

After I got outside and checked the order I started unloading it. I put all of the boxes on the ground. Paid and started dragging them inside. It wasn’t a large order just five boxes. I picked them up one by one and I took them inside. I found that Marc hadn’t moved. “Thanks for the help.” I said with a roll of my eyes as I put the last box down. I checked my watch. I had half an hour before I opened. I put the boxes in the back and looked back at him. “You just going to sit there or you going to say something.” He shrugged his shoulders at me and that was definately something I didn’t need right now. I walked to the front and unlocked the door from the outside and changed the placard from CLOSED to OPEN . Why not open up early? When I turned back to Marc to tell him to go into the back or leave he was gone. I hadn’t heard him move. Now that was creepy. He isn’t exactly someone who’s fleet of foot. I pushed it from my mind. I’d talk to him later. I stood behind the counter and picked up my tarot deck to wait.
