Trees Talking
I curl into a ball on the forest floor, lost, alone, and scared out of my mind. I hear the trees inside my head, speaking to one another, laughing, crying, screaming. I see them, dancing in the wind, touching each other, making all sorts of gestures completely alien to me.
My breathing is getting faster. I want to scream, to run as fast as I can, to get away, but I can’t run from trees. They stretch for miles, as far as I can see. I can’t escape, much as I would like to.
I think I’m going insane.
