She Dreamed an Apocalypse
Last night, I drempt it was the end of the world. And it was you and me, snatching shelter in some cold stone space. Even in the dying light of everything, your beautiful green eyes shown sparkling.
We clung together as the world crumbled into dust around us, our heartbeats mingling into one life-giving pulse. And it’s funny, isn’t it, how as eternity draws to a close we’re still left breathing with a heart to beat? And as long as we had breath in our lungs, we would never speak the words that had kept us both awake for a thousand sleepless nights.
