Movie Night
“You thought you could just come in here and take my DVD Player?” . .
Steven noticing his mom on the phone, silently showed her a bag of ginger snaps, she waved at him to go away.
“Well I don’t care that you paid for half. We agreed that you would take the TV, and leave the DVD Player!” . .
Still holding the bag Steven said “He took all the DVD ’s too.”
“Steven just said that you grabbed all of the DVDs too. Are you just trying to be petty, I mean you knew it was movie night right? Why even go through arbitration?” . .
“Just go to hell!“
Kelly slammed the phone down as hard as she could, hoping that it would somehow hurt her newly ex-husband.
Steven looked at her with a cautious look, that most seven year olds have when they think that the’ve done something wrong. “Did I get daddy in trouble?”
Kelly hugged her son and tears streamed down her cheek. “No baby. You didn’t do anything wrong.” She said in a whispered voice.
“Then can I have the cookies now? Daddy left them just for me.”
