Trembling (part 3)
It was pitch black when they woke up. Daddy was still on the floor. He hadn’t moved.
Mommy got up off the couch and walked into the little bedroom that they shared. She took a bag and started stuffing clothes and diapers into it.
“Don’t cry, baby. It’s time for us to leave now.” she said. She walked over Daddy, carefully missing the big red puddle that was growing out of his head.
She took the keys out of Daddy’s pocket, picked up the baby, and left the apartment.
“Things are gonna get alot better for us now.” She said, buckling him into the little car. “Don’t you worry.” She told him as she turned on the ignition. “We’re gonna find some where alot better.”
