The Vision
Jeffery saw himself, in the room, sitting in the chair. But it wasn’t like a dream, where you’re floating above, in the corner of the room. He was there. He looked down, and his hands shone gold, like they were covered in a shiny liquid.
The man advanced on the Jeffery in the chair, and spoke the words to an incantation: Saerista diĆ«nausys derazene irei’aeth! Jeffery could feel the power of the words resonating throughout the room. He shuddered as a thick cloud of black and red mist flowed from the man’s fingers, once again following the pattern of seemingly imploding only to form a shape. The difference was, this time they formed four writhing rope-like appendages that the man controlled with his hands.
His hands moved as a puppeteer’s would, and the rope-like mist flowed to match. He then made a strange motion with his hands, and the ropes untied Jeffery. Jeffery then tried to run, but they grabbed him and bound him. One around his legs, one around each arm, and finally, one around his neck.
