Affection… now affection is one thing. Touch is another entirely. Affection is an emotion, a feeling of love (or its close relative) that is freely felt for an individual, expecting nothing in return. Touch, now touch, can be a tool. Touch has power. It can be used to hurt, or to heal, to show affection and truth, or to lie. A lie is an unbearable thing. When someone says they care about you and lies, it hurts. When someone touches you and lies, it hurts more.
