A new ally?
Her name was Fiona, and Eva had more than an inkling that Luke had been spending far too much time with her.
“I’m going to have to ask you to leave,” Fiona said.
“I’m just sitting here on this public bench, what’s the problem?” Eva said with all sweetness.
“You’ve been here for two hours. The head of security was called, but when I saw who you were I told them I’d take care of it.”
“Oh, how nice, you coming down from your high and mighty post to make a courtesy call. Besides,” Eva paused, “I thought you were in charge of security?”
“Six months ago. I took over head of overseas operations when Luke left.”
“Luke hasn’t been gone six months. You’re saying you don’t know where he went, either?”
Luke and I were co heads until his abrupt departure. And what makes you think I would know where he went?”
Hesitantly, Eva pulled the letter out from her purse, “do you know what this is about?”
“No, but I know who would.”
“That’s why I’ve been sitting here.”
“Fool, Oscal leaves through the basement garage.” Eva groaned.
