The statue and his love

“Some say that if you stand just right, you can see their love,â€? the mother said
The boy squinted his eyes and cocked his head left and right. He took one step backward and, not satisfied, the boy took three steps forward. Positioning his body just right he saw it.
“You see, once a man had fallen deeply in love with a women. And he felt so strongly about her that he promised to always watch her, even if she couldn’t see him. After the women died, the man grieved for many days, ready to give up his own life. Remembering his promise to her though, he built the tallest and most beautiful structure in all the land. Far away he built himself a ledge to sit on, knowing she wouldn’t see him there, but would always feel his love. and now he sits for all eternity and for all to see their love.”
“Sitting on a ledge for that long must be painful!” the boy exclaimed.
Laughing, the mother hugged her son and said “One day son, you will love a women as much as he did, and you will be willing to do the same for her.”
