Enter from Above

As the healing process came to an end, a feeling of new clarity came over Sheila. She giggled. Just then, a burst of noise and a strong blast of air came from above the backyard.

“A helicoptor!” marveled Sheila, still on her back. Suddenly, her laughs were silenced when a frozen look of alarm came across her face, an effect exaggerated by the leftover makeover.

“You—you can’t land on my stage!” she screeched. I just built it!, she thought. The inaugural season begins this Fall. Tickets will soon be available.

Bracing herself against the lip of the stage, she pushed herself back up on her skates, then scrambled onto the stage, waving her arms above her head, squealing “No! No! No!” all the while.
