Tell Me a Story Challenge: Violin
A little girl walked down the long hall.
She was wearing a rather festive pink party dress, with bright pink shoes that clacked on the tile floor. Her pale blonde hair was tied into two pigtails with pink ribbons.
But despite her happy clothes, there were tear tracks running down her cheeks.
She sighed, a few more tears leaking from her bright blue eyes, then wiped them away angrily.
“He’s so mean!” she muttered to herself, then leaned against the wall, sliding down it.
In the seated position, face in her hands, she allowed herself to really break down and sob.
Just then a mourning sound came down the halls.
The girl lifted her head, pausing in her tears. The sound was sad but so beautiful.
The tears dried as she sat and listened there in the hall, all sadness forgotten, swept away in the beautiful music of a violin.
