Three Stars
She looked up into the crisp clean black sky. It was filled with flickering lights. Three lights shown brighter than the rest. And she lay down. The fireflies coming down closer. The wind went through her hair and she felt it flow through her. Brighter now, the three stars. She heard a noise, unlike the rest, it crept up beside her. And the noise now, closer, calmer, she didn’t care or dare make a move. And up into the ship they went. It was gone, and she opened her eyes, and wept.
