The Playground
Outside he runs
as fast as he can
with his son
to get to the playground
that he missed so much
the playgound
with its memories
with its scrapes
and scares
and its cuts and bruises
the playground
that he played on
with his friends
and his mom
and his dad
the playground
that seemed to always glow
that had a tint of gold to it
that was always new
no matter how many times he was there
the playground
with its twisty slide
and the monkeybars
with the tunnel
and the poll
the playground
where he grew up
where she grew up
were they grew up
where there family will grow up
