Sunshine flooded in the room as he sat at the table, pink slip in hand. He had received his walking papers yesterday, but had as yet to tell his wife. He didnt have a clue as to how he would break this to her, especially with the twins on the way. Mortgage, utilities, food, all of that ran around in his head. It almost became a chant that he could sway to; instead he banged his head on the table to the beat of his frustration.
Sunshine was the last thing he wanted to see this morning. It signaled the dawn of a day that would prove him unfit to be a husband, provider and parent. He felt useless and wanted to stave off the start of the day as long as possible. If Jenny came downstairs and saw him sitting there the questions that he had no answers for would begin.
