Snowball in Hell (part 5)
I thought nothing more about the odd apparition as I relaxed with my friends, the sun gently warming our skin, the water of the lake lapping gently at our feet.
It was days like this that we lived for back then and we made sure we enjoyed them, so it wasn’t really a surprise I gave the figure no further thought.
No further thought until I got home that is, my older sisters new college boyfriend, Travis, had arrived to stay for a few days in our spare room.
Even after meeting him over our family evening meal, I didn’t make the connection. It wasn’t until the following morning when I met him coming out of his room that the memory came flooding back.
He just stood there, waiting for me to slip past, in a familiar – and very distinctive – set of pajamas.
I nearly injured myself in my rush to get downstairs, just what had Travis been doing down by the lake, and so strangely attired as well, hours before he was actually due to join us.
