Staring Over
As I sit in my room, wanting the next day to come, the words that my mother said to a still running through my head. As I return for another year at Lock Haven, I sit quietly as I did when I came my first year.
On the way back up to school she asked, “So who of your friends are coming back?”
“Well see when I get there.”
“You’re going to have to start all over again?”
Now that I have been back for fours hours I know that these words are true, that I will have to start all over again. But I thought that since I had done it once at this school that I wouldn’t have to do it again. But as I wait for my new roommate to come, I think to myself that I don’t want to have to be the “freshman” again isn’t that why I am a sophomore so I don’t have to start fresh because I have already done it.
But alas I still have to do what I got to do.
