Adventure
Crawling through the tunnels at playgrounds had always been so fun for her when she was little.
As a child she had always craved adventure, needed it, even. She would spend all allowance money on batteries to power that old flashlight just so she could stay up late into the night, reading stories of people going on adventures.
The love stayed with her as she grew.
She lived a good life, never wanted for anything, but she still wasn’t happy. She wanted adventure.
Her parents were happily married, whole family completely content, but she was different somehow.
At school, because her parents, both doctors, had plenty of money, and she was rather pretty, she was in the more ‘popular’ crowd. But even though she spent all of her time with them, she still wasn’t one of them.
But when all of her ‘friends’ went to the college upstate, she’d ran away to taste adventure.
As soon as she left they all talked about how odd she was, but she didn’t care.
She was truly living her life. Finally.
