“ALEX! GET OVER HERE NOW !” she yelled at him. He was hesitant in making his way off of me. As he was almost off, I felt a warm tear on my arm. That just set me off.
“Doctor, do you mind staying with Alex out in the hall while I talk to his mother?” I asked.
“Sure.” he said, leading Alex out of the room.
“IF YOU DIDN ’T WANT HIM , WHY DID YOU LEAVE HIM IN THE PARK ?!” I yelled, quite enfuriated.
“I EXPLAINED THIS ALL IN COURT – MY FATHER WOULD KILL ME !! I’M ONLY 19 !!!” she yelled back.
“HOW DID HE MAKE AN EXCEPTION NOW ?! IF I DO RECALL , YOU ARE STILL 19 !!!”
“WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE HIM ANY BETTER THAN I CAN ?!?!”
For starters, I’m 25..
“THIS DISCUSSION IS OVER – HE’S MINE LEGALLY AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT !!” she said and turned to leave.
I could see but a crack of Alex once the door was open. He looked a mixture of sad and disappointment. His mother pulled him by his shirt all the way out of the hospital. He just lay there, apparently knowing to keep quite.
