A shattered memory
Moonlight washes over her, a halo against a dark silhouette
So now it’s midnight
And as the cold wind wraps around her
I can’t seem to tame my mind
She stumbles and falls abruptly to the ground
If only you could watch me fall
Her heart shattered, she stands holding the pieces in her hand
Just bend the pieces until they fit
Slowly walking on, her footsteps remain
Walking upon a broken floor
Steady, her mind racing with the pain coursing through her veins
This hurt, it leaves a lasting laceration
Scars crisscross over the patchwork of her heart
Pray God, I’ve lost what it was within me
Memories tear open the seemingly healed wounds
Well did you know you would leave me all alone?
