Attention, Attention
People were staring. And I am not one for attention.
With his hand warmly laced through mine, though, I felt slightly confident. I held my chin a little higher and kept my eyes forward. Well, forward or upon Tom.
When it was time for us to go to different classes, I was almost angry.
The anger quickly turned to anxiety and lasted till lunch. I sighed.
As I enterred the commons, I didn’t even try to not search the entire room for him. He quickly rushed up to me and caught me in a quick embrace. Leaving one arm wrapped comfortingly around my waist, he led me to an empty table in the corner. We sat, but didn’t make any move to eat the food he had gotten for both of us. He leaned towards me, breathing me in.
It wasn’t like we hadn’t done this before. It was just a kiss. But I couldn’t do this in front of all these people. People who would most definitely call me horrid names. I just couldn’t. I stood up, knocking my chair to the floor and dashed towards the nearest girls’ restroom.
