Allusions Elude Me. Let's Stick To Lyrics.

“Oh! Gravity!” I shouted as I stumbled over a few bookbags strewn randomly in the middle of the hallway.

Suddenly I see, out of the hoards of students swarming to their classrooms, a handsome boy leap to my aid. He had sleek, dark hair and as he caught me, he said, “Hey there, Delilah!” in a way that just made me melt. I stared at him, and he said, “You’re not Delilah. But don’t worry, I’m not crazy, I’m just a little unwell. It’s what you do to me.”

“Wow! You caught me off guard!”

“Yea, I feel like a hero. I guess I’m your guardian angel”

“Am I more than you bargained for? Well, to make up for it, why don’t you come sit next to me at lunch today?”

So we met at lunch and talked for the whole time.
”... and that’s about the time she walked away from me,” he said, finishing a story about Delilah, his former girlfriend.

He took my hand and showed me how to rig the vending machine. And after the bell rang, he promised me he’d be around.
