All I know of you is under the darkness of your bedroom, the comfort of your bed
The awkward hellos and quick good-byes, the passionate breaths and eager touch
Yet you encompass my thoughts before I sleep, when I wake and see your name, when I hesitate as he says “I love you”
All you were meant to be was a quick adventure and had you not uttered my name under your breath that’s all it would have stayed
Now I beg that you work your way out of my mind as gingerly as you came in
All the while I hope to love him as I did before you came while yearning for our next forbidden encounter
