Snakes and Serpents: A Guide to Telling the Difference
There is only one real difference between a serpent and a snake. They’re both scaly, have menacing teeth, and have long bodies with no appendages.
The one difference between the two can only be seen through their reaction to a virgin female.
It is helpful to actually be a virgin female in this case, because if you’re not, you don’t really need to tell the difference, and you should just run away. But, that’s common sense.
When in the presence of a virgin female, both serpents and snakes will stick out their tongues.
So, what is the difference between the two?
When a snake sticks out its tongue, it’s tasting the air, looking for prey.
When a serpent does it, it’s flirting.
