“Which book?’”

“My English book.”

“Oh, that book.”

“Yeah, that book. Where is my book?”

“I don’t know what it looks like, your book.”

“It looks like my English book.”

“Did you look on the shelf with your books?”

“My English book isn’t on my shelf with my books.”

“Well, are your other books?”

“I’m not looking for my other books, I’m looking for my English book.”

“And you can’t call a friend and use her book?”

“Mom, we’re supposed to read, like, 23 pages of the book.”

“Oh. Well, I don’t know what to do about your lost book.”

“But, Mom, I need my English book…”
