American took a huge hit in the weeks that followed that day, maybe moreso than any other airline. And as unthinkable as that day was for the rest of us, I’d imagine itwas that much more devasting for the commercial aviation community…

Thanks, Baromero. Well said. He would agree. Before Dad was an airline pilot, he was an Air Force A-10 pilot, and he was the best of the best. No exaggeration… Still, as strong of a man as he is, 9/11 really hit him hard. IMHO – if a man that strong can be impacted that much, it’s a sign that our whole country took a very serious blow…
