I lay and listen to the rain fall outside
So soothing, my headache subsides
And I listen to the thunder
Clenching the covers Im under
I see the lightening strike
Wishing it would take a hike
All I need is the rain
To wash away this pain
Trying to drift to sleep
Under my pillow my secrets I’ll keep
As I toss and turn thru the night
Hoping tomorrow everything will be alright
