The theme song isn’t by the original artist or even a tribute act. It’s been re-made by Mike Post’s house band in typical Hollywood fashion of the day. As the theme comes up on the audio track, the visuals are a montage of news footage, of the “current” Presidential election and ongoing wars in Africa and the Caribbean region.

And from about here we swtich to staccato footage of the cast in action, starting with the hero and the mentor figure. Graphics of the names of the actors are added when appropriate.
