The Story of Maple
Yup, right at my front door. Weird, because it’s was the day before Thanksgiving. Someone surely didn’t want this kitty that was the size of printer paper at their Thanksgiving dinner! I decided to bring her in. I put her down on the carpet in that very worn down green bath towel that she was rapped in. I sat down on the couch. She stared up at me with those big eyes saying, “I’m scared”. I just couldn’t help but say, “Aw!” I decided right then and there I’d name her Maple.
Since then, Maple has grown to be the size of my printer. Quite the difference when she was just the size of the printer paper. Maple has made it very clear who she wanted to be over these few years. She wanted to be a Mother. Everytime my boyfriend came over with his cat Albert, you would see Maple and Albert snug and sleeping in a corner of the room. It was so adorable. Just last Spring Maple gave birth to five new little Maple’s and four new little Albert’s. What a great Mother she has been and a great friend. Maple was truly a gift.
