Marianne looked infuriated. “Who?!” she demanded.
Jerry winked at her. “That’s for me to know and you to find out.”
He turned and started to go. “Come on Ash.”
Ash followed him. “Who are you going with?”
“What?”
“Who are you going to the dance with? You never told me you were going with anyone.” Ash looked slightly hurt.
Jerry turned bright red. “Oh, um…I haven’t actually, um asked her yet.”
Ash looked at him in confusion. “You never told me you liked anyone. Who is it? Do I know her?!”
Jerry changed the subject. “Are you hungry?”
“Don’t try to change the subject, Jerry.” Ash warned.
“I’m not. I promise. But seriously, are you hungry?”
Ash’s stomach rumbled. “Yeah, a little.”
Jerry laughed. “A little? I thought there was gonna be an earthquake!”
“Hey!” she punched him in the arm.
“Ow! O.K, Let’s go get lunch.”
They went off towards the food court, unaware that Marianne was following and listning to them the entire time.
