Nelly whimpered.

Frankie threw the table out of his way and stepped toward the two girls, but before he could make another move Stella pulled the trigger on the Derringer. A tiny flame shot from the barrel and Frankie took a step back.

“You didn’t expect me to threaten you with bullets, did you Frankie? I knew you weren’t afraid of those.”

A few of Frankie’s men tried to make a move, but Stella reached under the table and pulled another Derringer from her other thigh.

“This one ain’t a lighter, fellas,” she said, still staring at Frankie. “So what’ll it be, Frankie? You gonna hand over the map, or am I gonna have to light you up?”

Nelly whispered, “Stella! You’re going to get us killed! You promised you wouldn’t do anything rash.”

“Dry up, Nell! I’ve got everything under control.”

Frankie hesitated for a moment, then stuck a hand inside his coat pocket.

    Excellent. I’m truly loving this Stella Starr serial. Oh that silly Frankie and his fear of fire, you’d think he’d work on overcoming that one of these days. :)

    you did a great job, it was as if it was written by Tarzan. dont let the adventures end. Don Drac Ula, is still lurking out there for the map of Gangsta paradise..

    I’m so sad. We’re all out of story and it doesn’t seem we’ll ever get to know what a Gangsta’s Paradise is.
