The Shocking Truth

Tim sat their patiently waiting the night away. He paced around the apartment waiting for the reply to come. He stared at his love peacefully sleeping on the bed and then began to berate himself in his head.
“What do you think you’re doing Tim? How can you be so nozy”
“Yeah, Tim. How can you not trust her. You disgust me.”

The voices finally convinced him to put down the phone and go back to bed, but then there was a noise.

Beep.

Tim looked back suddenly, there was a new message.

Slowly, with shaking hands he started to open the phone.
“No need to worry.” He thought, “It’s not going to be anything bad.”

But, when he looked at the screen, he sighed with relief as he read:

What do you mean, “what”? We’ve been talking about this forever! Did you tell him that you want to marry him?

    Oh, you’re going to make people mad with that one. Me, I think it’s got great shock value, definitely worse than anything I’d imagined. Then again, I tried not to imagine anything so I wouldn’t influence the next entry. If they really don’t like it, they can backtrack one ficlet and write their own version. Ah, the beauty of ficlets and diverging realities. Thanks for adding to the series.

    wow. Shocker! But one question.. Wouldn’t that mean the son wasn’t recent? Because she wasn’t pregnant 6 months ago right? Hmm..

    good question band baby!!!! I personally like the this. I agree with THX if you dont like it backtrack and rewrite. Thats what I’ll do if someone sequels anything of mine!
