New Shampoo?

Michael gets to work. Thoughts of his first day at the gym still running through his head.

“What a mess I am.” He thinks

Quickly forgets everything when he sees his very lovely soon to be friend for life. Will there be a window today? Anything more than “Hello” would be a victory.

Michael begins to walk over to Elisabeth. He stands in front of her.

“I like your hair”

She smiles but not in a good way.

“I mean, Hello. How are you today? Your hair is nice. Is that a new shampoo?”

Elisabeth stares at him and quietly answers.

“Yes it is.”

Michael begins to laugh. Wipes his recently trimed eye brows.

“Is that it?” she asks.

“I’m sorry, I can’t tell you how stupid I feel. Sorry. I have to go unload a truck.”

Michael quickly walks away, Elisabeth watches him leave.

“Was he bothering you?” Asks the manager.

She shakes her head no.

Michael is standing in front of the bathroom mirror. Very disappointed in himself.

Manager begins yelling “Ernest you don’t work today!”
