An Awesome Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, in an awesome land far away . . . there lived an awesome princess. One day while traveling through the woods with Sir THX of Ohio, she ran into the evil Wizard KermitGorf of New Jersey.

KermitGorf appeared before them. He waved his Smith & Wesson double action .45 semi-automatic pistol in the air, firing a few rounds to get their attention.

“Awesome!” Sir THX said.

“Hey, don’t encourage him. He almost shot us,” the Princess said.

“Well, it was rather awesome, you know,” THX responded.

“You know – I’m getting a little bit tired of all this awesome talk. Does everything really have to be awesome?”

“Uh, yeah – I say we make him a knight or something,” Sir THX said.

“Awesome,” they said at the same time.

“Jinx,” they said again in unison.

“Double jinx,” said the princess.

“Princess, you’re awesome!” said Sir THX .

“No, you are,” she answered.

“No, you are!”

KermitGorf fired a few more rounds to get their attention. “Hello? My knighthood?”

“Awesome!” they all said.

THE AWESOME END

I’m endlessly impressed with your range, from the dramatic, to sci-fi, and then BAM , utter absurdity. Perfectly silly awesomeness for the International Day of Awesomeness.
