Macy 2: Love At First Sight

He finally mustered up courage to say, “Hi.” The girl giggled again and stared intently at him. “Um how are you?”

“Good. I’m Macy. And you?”

“Uh Derrick.” He smiled, full of confidence now. They were half way through a whole conversation.

“Hey you wanna see something cool?” Macy asked, her eyes eager.

“Uh sure.” Derrick replied, instantly getting mad for the repeating “um”. He ignored it though and followed Macy toward the woods at the edge of the park.

“You aren’t afraid of heights right?” Derrick gave her a cocky smile. She laughed and continued through the woods until she stopped. Derrick glanced in front of him at the amazing sight. They were on a hill and below them was a huge meadow. “Come on.”

Macy jumped down and ran. She flung out her arms and spun in a circle. She looked like a model with her boots, blue designer jacket, and plaid scarf. Her hoodie fell down, revealing short bouncy curls that framed her heart-shaped face. Derrick suddenly wondered if love at first sight was real.
