Derrick touched her shoulder and asked, “Hey, are you okay?” Macy smiled and nodded, taking advantage of his hand on her shoulder. She reached up to close her hand around his. He smiled down at her and right before he dipped down to make a move, Macy pulled him off the ground.
So close.

“Its getting late.” She stated. “We better head back. You’ll be here after school, right?”

Derrick replied, “Of course, maybe…though I’ll see you in school.”

Macy whispered, “Don’t count on it. School and I just don’t go.”

Derrcik pressed on, “What do you mean?”

Macy continued, “I guess I should say the people in school and I don’t go. Whatever, I’ll explain later. Come on.” She moved slightly to put her lips at his cheek before leading him up the hill back into the park.
