Macy 5: Boyfriend

On Monday at school, Derrick was ambling down an outside path when he spotted Macy with some guy by the art building. He had shoulder length, blonde hair. Derrick could only see the back of his head, but he could see bits of Macy’s blonde.

He approached them slowly, until he heard Macy plead, “Shane, get off me. Let me go. Please. I…” Derrick ran off the path and pulled forcefully at the back of Shane’s uniform collar. Shane wobbled off of Macy and caught his balance, but Derrick to stood between him and Macy.

Shane fixed his shirt and glared darkly at Macy as she fell in the grass. Shane hissed, “Got yourself a protector now do ya?” He stormed away, leaving Derrrick to turn and help Macy up.

Derrick panicked, “Are you okay? Macy? Are you okay?”

Macy stood and brushed the snow off her skirt while muttering, “I’m fine. I’m fine.” But Derrick squared her shoulders and she had to look him in the eye.

He asked, “Macy, who is that guy?”

Macy glanced away and whispered, “My boyfriend.”
