Macy 28: Smart Girl

Shane smiled smugly and said, “I knew you were afraid of me.”

Macy whispered, “Derrick, could you go please? I need to talk to Shane alone.”

“I’m not going.” Derrick told them, but Macy’s eyes had him hurrying up the hill.

“That’s better. Just you and me.” Shane continued. Macy didn’t say anything. “I bet you’re so afraid of me. What if I hurt you? Oh.”

“What?! What kind of question is that?” she bellowed then covered her mouth.

“The kind I don’t want an answer to.”

“Shane, you can’t control me, okay? I’m not some robot or anything. I can act for myself.”

“Really? Hmm.” Shane went toward her ans she tried not to run. Running got you no where, and always when your competor is an all-around jock. Shane pushed her shoulder a little bit. “Hmm.” He looked over her like she was an object.

Macy mumbled, “I don’t like you doing that.”

“But you’re not moving away.”

“Because I know how you act. I know that if I ran, you’d follow angerily.”

“Smart girl.”

“So, bye. We are still over.”
