Macy turned slowly to face Derrick. His hands were stuffed into his pockets and he was looking at the sand.

Macy felt her face grow red as the group watched the three. “Derrick, um it’s not what you think. Okay. Just believe me and listen for a sec. There is nothing going on between me and Macon.”

The second she spoke, a grin appeared on Macon’s face and he began, “If that’s so, why would you bang a guy if you have a boyfriend? Plus if that guy is me.”

Holly and her friends stared on and now everyone was listening in on the arguement. “Macy?” Derrick asked, “Did you? And Macon?”

Macon interrupted suddenly, clapping a hand down on Derrick’s shoulder and smiling happily. “Yes we did Derrick! Man was it good!”

“Macon, quit lying.” Macy snapped quietly, blushing deeper.

“Derrick, your girlfriend can’t resist me, so we had fun the night of the party. Sorry.” But he didn’t sound sorry at all.

“Macy is this true?” Derrick asked her again.

“No.” But she was always a terrible liar.
