I’m going to be a superhero when I grow up. I don’t know what my super power is going to be but it will be a great super power. It’ll be so great that Marvel will wish they had thought of it. It’ll be so great that everyone will be in awe of it.

I grew up and I am a super hero. I can’t leap tall buildings in a single bound but I can totally make any owie stop hurting with just a kiss. I don’t have x-ray vision but I do have eyes in the back of my head. So you better stop making those faces, hey, I see you! I can’t freeze anyone in place with freezing breath but I can stop any fight with just a glare. I don’t have a photographic memory but I can remember every detail of that elaborate story that was spun last week. I can’t travel back in time to catch anyone in the act but I can make you wonder if I was actually there watching when you get caught.

I didn’t grow up and get to blow things up with just the power of my mind. I just grew up to be a Mom.

    I was raised by a single mother whom I respect more than anyone in the world. The strength that’s needed to be a good parent is really remarkable. You guys are super heroes.

    This really is a very fitting tribute to Mom’s everywhere.
