So Not Cool

Lilly and Brian got off the dance floor together, headed for the drinks’ table. But there was Patrick. “Heyyyy.” His voice slurred.
Drunk again.

“Hi.” Lilly whispered and then turned away, but he spun her around.

“It’s time for my dance.”

“I’m not giving you a dance. You’re drunk and stupid and I’m with Brian.”

“Forget Brian.” He was swaying now and he leaned against the table. Without warning, he threw up all over Brian.

Lilly gushed, “Let me help you.” They moved into the hall and Lilly began to splash his shirt in the water foundation.

“I have a better idea. Come on.” Brian took her hand, leading her through the school to the back. The sprinklers were on and Brian pulled Lilly into them.

“Uh oh my god!â€? She got soaked and Brian was laughing. Lilly went over and pushed him, splattering throw-up everywhere. It was her turn to laugh.

“So not cool.â€? But he was laughing, enjoying the fact that he was spending the prom in the sprinters with Lilly. Where ever she was, he wanted to be.
