“Well get out.” I said to his back as he walked further inside. I didn’t dare to close the door now but he suddenly turned back quick. His eyes were filled with hatred.

“You gonna shut that?” he hissed.

“No.” I was scared now; Jack just made you feel that way. So I felt my back pocket for my phone, just in case.

“Fine.” He came back toward me, pulling the door right out of my fingertips and slamming it. The whole scene was frightening but it was really the way he appeared, towering over me, that scared me the most.

“What do you want?” I repeated, trying not to seem intimidated.

“Some kind of real revenge.”

I tried to open the door and kick him out, but his fingers caught the backswing and he closed the door, pushing me against it. I struggled to get past him now but Jack was stronger. His hands pressed me tight against the door and his face was close to mine.

“Let me go.” I whispered but that was all I could get out. I was somewhat frozen in fear and this was definitely the R-rated version of Jack.

    Why’s he need revenge on her? Oh, my, the PG-13-rated version of Jack wasn’t all that proper. I can’t imagine what the R-rated version will do. Does she carry pepper spray by chance?

    Haven’t read any other part of this series, but I can feel the intensity in this scene.

    And I really hope she carries pepper spray, Thebetweenspace!

    tbs, I am with you on the pepper spray. And I am such a Twilight freak that it reminded me of that scene from the movie. Happily, Jack’s not a vampire so she could fend him off that way.
