Just Screwed

Jack slammed me harder on the door, knocking the breath out of me. The wooden frame seemed to shake as his fingers gripped me.

“You don’t want to know what I can do. So just shut up right now.â€? I couldn’t bring myself to talk anyway. “Good. Now listen. You don’t want me to cover your mouth, do you?â€? I shook my head slowly.

I did start to move my hand slowly toward my back pocket, out of Jack’s view, but he must have felt the movement. He spun me around, throwing me to the floor.

I fell hard, landing on my hands and knees. “What the hell is your problem!?â€? Once I was out of his grasp, I regained courage.

Jack ran toward me, grabbing both my wrists. But I pulled one of my arm back hard, slapping him across the face. He winced a little in pain but pinned me to the floor.

“Get off of me.â€? I kicked him hard once but he merely flinched. Jack pulled my arms back and stared me in the eyes. “What about Trey?â€? I whispered.

“Trey and I aren’t friends anymore. Sorry to disappoint but looks like you’re screwed.â€?
