In one moment, I wrenched Jack’s hand away. “What is wrong with you?” He just gaped at my sudden courage. “I want to know what you want from me. Otherwise, I’m just going to have to drag Trey into this and I don’t want to do that.”

Jack snapped, “I think you should. Maybe you could stop being so stupid and figure it out.”

“Me? Being stupid!? You’re the one that is frickin’ attacking me so we can talk!”

Suddenly, Jack slapped me hard, across the cheek and it felt like my face was shattering into mini pieces. I covered it with my hands, trying to stop the pain. “Asshole!”

“If you just understood where I’m coming from, then there wouldn’t be a problem.”

I honestly despised him more than ever but I hissed, “I don’t know where you’re coming from or what your problem is but you better fix it. Soon. And when you do, let me know because that will be the moment when there isn’t even a problem anymore.” Not looking back, I ran out in fear.

Yet hopefully, that emotion will be replaced by something else soon.

    I think the 3rd paragraph is missing an is.

    The thing with Jack is part of me wants to try to see things his way. That part of me wants to see that he, in one way or another, has gotten screwed over. That she has done something, without realizing her fault, to aid this screwing over.

    But ultimately, I haven’t figured his intentions out either. He’s a real mystery.

    And i really hope he listened to what she said, because I have a feeling she’s right about the whole thing.
