“Apprehension Before Apprehension,” as in, “a feeling of foreboding (apprehension) before apprehending the criminal (apprehension).” There are too many definitions for that word for its own good.

I didn’t do much of an addition, but it puts my guy in place, more or less, and allows the action to unfold unencumbered by him.
