You Had Me as Appetizer

I shook my head, looking at the waitress. “I guess I just won’t have anything…”

She smiled slyly. “I think…I have the perfect appetizer for you. Come with me, I’ll show you.”

Curious, I followed her into the empty kitchen—then she kissed me full on the lips. I was too startled to resist, but then—something about her. I had to kiss her again.

Her kiss tasted—delicious. I didn’t understand it, but I just had to keep kissing her. I barely noticed her giggling, or her unfastening her clothing and letting it fall to the floor.

What was that taste? I kissed harder, nibbled, eyes closed, trying to figure it out. There was something in my mouth now—something that seemed to be squirming. I swallowed once, then again, and it was gone.

I opened my eyes. The waitress was gone—but her clothing was on the floor in front of me.

Did I hear a giggle coming from my stomach? Or was it just gas?

I went back out to my table, where another waitress was ready to take my order.

Gross! I was grossed out by the time she took him to the kitchen, and then…he ate her! That’s kind of funny in a morbid way.

In case folks haven’t yet guessed, this story was born from my misreading the title of the original ficlet, then double-taking…then deciding what I had originally misread the title as would make an amusing title for a follow-up ficlet. The whole thing kind of went on from there.
