New York here I come
Graduating from the BVC school was one of the best days of my life. I had finished prep school a year early and had managed the university in three years. When I walked across the stage and was handed my law degree I nearly collapsed with relief; 18 years of school and I had finally gotten where I wanted to be. I began working for Westin and Middlebrook a year before I graduated and was made a member of the company at my completion of my degree. Being a tax attorney isn’t the most interesting of things but I have enjoyed it. The talk of moving me to New York started last May, our sister firm had far more clients than they were capable of handling, and Mr. Westin asked me if I would be willing to transfer and take up as a junior partner of the firm. I asked for a day to think about it.
The red wine swirled slowly in the glass, the light catching it and making in sparkle; I was eating dinner alone that night, Preston had work; as usual.
